I love artists who work with books, and even though these works are almost always a comment on the deterioration of the written word, I feel somewhat heartened that they exist at all. Â Brian Dettmer is one of those artists. Â He alters the information contained within the book through meticulous excavation & dissection, creating something entirely new.
